From fabrication to motion and sensing
Manufacturing methods define the parts and structure. Surface treatments address the specified finish. Machine modules and components provide the handling, movement and sensing functions within the system.
Technology matrix
The listed technologies describe the engineering scope; individual methods and supply arrangements are selected for each project.
| Category | Technologies |
|---|---|
| Metalworking | Laser cutting and bending; CNC milling; CNC router cutting; welding; 3D printing |
| Surface treatment | Anodizing; painting and powder coating; glass-bead blasting; electrochemical polishing; hardening and annealing |
| Modules | Robots; rejecting devices; transport systems; stackers; feeders; orientation modules |
| Components | Pneumatic components; electric drives; cameras and sensors; linear motion; grippers |
Technology in an actual system
The cup-stacking project combines a SCARA robot, gripper, conveyors and case-packing modules. The inspection project combines robotic handling with a camera, barcode reader and crate stackers. The frozen-food and chocolate-bar systems combine transport, dosing and packaging equipment.
Materials and finishes for structures
Painted steel and stainless-steel options are selected with the hygiene zone, cleaning regime and installation environment. The support-structure materials guide describes the available combinations.
